Project Manager III

The Project Manager III will manage the execution of Materion's capital projects and activities and will be responsible to leverage his/her engineering expertise and tools in the delivery of capital projects from conceptual design to project completion. The Project Manager will work closely with program managers, operations leaders, engineers, and manufacturing team members to deliver projects on-time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects that impact multiple departments across the facility
• Collaborate with teams to develop scope and costs associated with projects
• Ensure deliverables of capital projects are fully met with associated hand-offs and sign-offs
• Work with procurement on vendor selection, prequalification's and bid packages and overall vendor-client relationship for successful project execution
• Ensure compliance with all site specific and companywide safety programs, trainings, and policies
• Adhere to ISO 9001 procedures

Requirements:

• BS degree in an engineering field, e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, etc., is required with PMP certification a plus
• Minimum of 8 years of experience of engineering in manufacturing plant environment supporting and managing medium to large capital projects up to $25M
• 5+ years' experience in Project Management with track record of executing projects successfully, from concept to completion
• Experience running projects in a metals industry is a plus
• Experience in Infrastructure, ventilation, or controls projects in a plus
• Working knowledge of SAP, SharePoint, Project Management Software is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Solid understanding of project management techniques and procedures
• Strong communication and team skills necessary in working with equipment suppliers, contractors and in sharing project information with internal departments
• Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills to effectively contribute to executing projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%

Export Compliance

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
