Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced project manager with a banking and financial services background to lead our project delivery organization and drive strategic initiatives across the enterprise. This senior leadership role will oversee a portfolio of complex, cross-functional projects while building and mentoring a high-performing team of project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project vision and align initiatives with overall business strategy
  • Oversee portfolio of projects, ensuring appropriate prioritization and resource allocation
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and cross-functional teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to maximize ROI
  • Establish and enforce project management standards, methodologies, and best practices
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and drive adoption of new processes and systems
  • Conduct project reviews, audits, and post-implementation evaluations
  • Provide regular updates and reports to executive leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years leading project managers
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional, multi-million-dollar projects
  • Mastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Six Sigma)
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
  • Strong financial acumen with budgeting and cost control experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience leading organizational change initiatives
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Asana)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA
  • Agile/Scrum or Change Management certification
  • Experience establishing PMO functions
