Job Summary

We have an exciting career opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager that is willing to relocate as needed to support our federal construction initiative.

The Project Manager is responsible for recruiting, dispatching, and managing all craft employees in federal construction projects. This role involves directing and assisting Project Superintendents and General Foreman as needed to ensure profitable, safe, timely and quality project execution. The Project Manager also assists the Regional Manager and Industrial Construction Management team (including Operations Manager, Chief Estimator, Fabrication Manager, Safety Manager, and Quality Control Manager) in coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly activities. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects including renovations, design/build, design/bid/build, and ground-up, for USACE, NAVFAC, Air Force, US Coast Guard, and other federal entities.
  • Ensure compliance with all hiring and wage requirements for federal jobs.
  • Develop schedules, project budgets, milestones, and projections for all assigned projects.
  • Monitor progress schedules and make revisions as needed to ensure the projects stay on track.
  • Manage project financials including budgets, projections, and forecasts.
  • Prepares project reports, financial updates, and scorecards for management and clients.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of construction project management experience required.
  • 5 years of federal government contracting experience required.
  • Experience with DoD construction projects.
  • Experience with USACE projects both fixed price and cost reimbursable.

Preferred:

  • CQM Certification, OSHA 30, First Aid / CPR / AED are highly desired.
  • Strong technical skills and computer skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Familiar with and able to manage FAR compliance.

Work Environment:

  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
  • Manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environment.
  • Fit and move in confined spaces including tanks and vessels.
  • Limited working surfaces.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility.

Essential Requirements:

  • Walking on uneven terrain, with an average of two miles per day
  • Standing
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel.
  • Use of respirator if position requires.
  • Driving if required to travel.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
