Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
General Construction Manager candidates may:
- Manage all phases of construction from site development through turnover.
- Oversee cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and schedule performance.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and risk management across the project.
- Lead project documentation efforts including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to project engineers, field teams, and project staff.
Subject Matter Expert candidates may:
- Provide deep technical guidance for a specific project phase or discipline.
- Lead coordination and problem solving within their specialized area.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical submittals relevant to their specialty.
- Support estimating, scheduling, modeling, QA/QC, or commissioning tasks as applicable.
- Partner with design teams, trade contractors, and field teams to ensure best‑in‑class execution.
- Identify risks and ensure compliance with technical standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required (for both Generalist and SME candidates):
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong ability to collaborate with owners, designers, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, evolving project environment with multiple priorities.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with heavy civil and DOT construction.
- Familiarity with construction scheduling, cost management, estimating, and technical coordination.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software tools.
