Insurance Restoration ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER BROADCO is a general contractor specializing in Property Restoration and Reconstruction as a result of fire, wind, water damage, and other event-driven disasters, providing complete project management for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Established in 2009, BROADCO has become a leading disaster restoration contractor and provides a broad range of services, such as 24-hour emergency response, construction, water mitigation, reconstruction, environmental remediation (asbestos, mold, and lead abatement), content restoration, and National Disaster Response Team. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year Responsibilities: Essential Functions • Must be available for “on call” rotation (after hours) as needed, respond to leads in a timely manner, and order “Emergency Services” if required • Write an estimate of damage in Xactimate, Proposal, or ROM to submit in a timely manner, and write change orders, revise estimates, and addenda as needed • Get signatures from customers on Work Authorization, specifications, and/or proposals • Lead and oversee construction and/or restoration projects from beginning to end. Monitor and meet scheduled deadlines and critical dates • Determine and define project scope, schedule, and budget. Manage costs in order to meet the budget and make sure supplies are ordered and delivered according to the schedule • Create status reports daily and/or weekly, with change orders, progress to deadlines, and challenges/roadblocks. Track time and material logs • Manage and monitor safety regulations and ensure that the project staff is in compliance • Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites. Ensure all appropriate permits and licensing are acquired for the work site(s), and all building codes are met • When the project is complete, prepare the billing and submit it • Follow up on payment for assigned jobs • Other duties as assigned Communication • Communicate with your team players to keep files up to date • Maintain a relationship with customers and all parties involved throughout the project • Work with property management, coordinators, and the insurance company for approvals • Work with subcontractors, engineers, architects, adjusters, and consultants in a professional manner Qualifications: • Experience in estimating and/or project management in the restoration and/or construction industry. Prefer Xactimate estimating software experience or other similar estimating software • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, architecture, and insurance coverage principles • Must possess business acumen and the ability to manage budgets, estimate costs, and manage gross margin • High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings • Strong leadership and management skills • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Strong communication skills, delegation, and follow-up skills • Possession of a current state driver's license with a clear driving record • Successful completion of a background check (no criminal convictions for violent offenses or loss of property) • General knowledge in the daily use of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook), including MS Project • Ability to navigate the internet to research supplier and product info, pricing, etc • Estimating/ Project Management: 3 years (Required) • Xactimate: 1 year (Required) • Construction/Restoration: 5 years (Preferred) Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
