Project Manager – Electrical Construction
Location: Arizona
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (DOE)

We are partnering with a leading electrical contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and healthcare projects in Arizona. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, strong benefits, and long-term career growth.

The ideal candidate has experience managing electrical construction projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. Prior hospital project experience is preferred.
Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical construction projects with budgets of $10M+

  • Develop and lead strong project teams while delivering quality work on time and within budget

  • Drive division profitability through effective execution and financial oversight

  • Develop and manage project schedules, procurement plans, contracts, and staffing assignments

  • Manage and mentor approximately 3 direct reports and 10 total team members

  • Review contractual requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications

  • Adjust priorities and milestones based on client needs and resource availability

  • Interface directly with clients to ensure expectations are understood and met

  • Provide oversight of third-party construction firms

  • Lead project review processes with emphasis on forecasting and cost control

  • Manage invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders

  • Communicate risks, challenges, and project updates proactively
Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial or mixed-use construction

  • Experience managing large-scale projects ($10M+ budgets required)

  • Prior hospital construction experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems and engineering principles

  • Field experience coordinating with construction management teams

  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling, bidding, take-offs, change orders, and contracts

  • Proven ability to manage profitable projects and develop client relationships

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

  • Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree strongly preferred

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
