Hybrid 3 days a week onsite in downtown Denver Project overview: The Project Manager II will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. They will manage project scope, timelines, and resources, and will be accountable for all aspects of the project lifecycle. Typical day: A typical day involves leading project meetings, coordinating with team members, managing project documentation, and addressing any issues that arise. The PM will also be responsible for communicating project status to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project goals. Team: The PM will support a team of approximately 10-15 members, including developers, business analysts, and testers. Key players include the project sponsor, department heads, and other senior stakeholders. They will report to the Program Manager. The work environment is highly collaborative and supportive, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and open communication. Top skills: Experience with commercial off the shelf software deployment projects, including integration with legacy systems. Strong financial management background, including actuals/variance analysis, forecasting, etc. Experience with project management tools and software including Microsoft Project, Office 365, Confluence, SPM/ServiceNow, etc. Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate should have 5-7 years of direct project management experience, with an additional 5-10 years of PM or PM-adjacent experience such as PMO, BA, Test Lead, etc. In addition, experience working in larger organizations with interdepartmental coordination. Previous utility industry experience preferred. PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required. Finally, Accrual-based accounting experience is preferred but not required. Vendor management, including RFP experience preferred. Additional Skills: Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to run meetings and workshops effectively.
