To address growth, well-established engineering & manufacturing company has an opening for a Project Manager. Direct-hire position with outstanding benefits!
Duties:
- Manage custom automation components design/manufacturing projects that serve defense/mission critical and industrial OEM customers
- Oversee projects from kickoff to delivery (customer programs range from 6-months to multi-year)
- Oversee project scopes, costs, schedules, and budgets
- Work directly with customers (including defense/government officials) to communicate project progress/milestones while managing expectations (customers includes industrial OEMs and defense contractors)
- Interface directly with company leadership, setting direction and owning execution of high-value projects and initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and finance
- Support proposals and new business opportunities
- Help drive compliance with all applicable standards and regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, AS9100, ISO 9001, etc.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering a big plus), Business, or similar field
- 4+ years of experience as a project manager or program manager within an engineered products/manufacturing company
- Knowledge of defense contracting requirements and industrial product delivery processes
- Industrial/electro-mechanical products experience a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with both customer-facing program leadership and internal new product development
- PMP certification a plus
- Ability to travel ~15% of the time
Salary: $120-140K
