This company specializes in commercial, public, retail, hospitality, and industrial project sectors.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Richmond, VA will be responsible for:Championing a strong safety culture, ensuring all on-site personnel follow safety and environmental standardsManaging all phases of construction projects, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and vendorsMaintaining schedules, budgets, and project timelines to ensure successful deliveryLeading communication across project stakeholders including clients, architects, and consultantsOverseeing RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and correspondenceRunning project meetings (internal and client-facing) and distributing detailed meeting minutesSupporting field teams with quality control processes and subcontractor coordinationDeveloping and maintaining project schedules in collaboration with project teams and trade partnersManaging subcontractor buyout, scope definition, and procurement of major materialsConducting site walks and inspections to monitor progress and address issues proactivelyEnsuring proper project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentationAssisting with estimating, GMP development, and risk management initiativesMaintaining accurate tracking of action items, deliverables, and project documentationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
