A Project Manager Jr. assists in the planning, execution, and completion of projects under the guidance of a senior project manager. They play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting in the development of project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Coordinating project activities and ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule.
Monitoring project progress and identifying and addressing issues or risks.
Communicating with team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide updates on project status.
Assisting in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations.
Supporting the implementation of project management best practices and processes.
Managing project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Providing administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
Supporting the development and maintenance of relationships with external partners and vendors.
Project Managers Jr. should have strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. They should also be proficient in project management software and tools. PMP Required for all Project Management roles
Requirements:
This role will provide dedicated project management support for the Areawide Program, coordinating cross functional activities, schedules, and deliverables across internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders. The project manager will support planning, execution, risk management, and status reporting to ensure program milestones, approvals, and dependencies are actively managed. The role will also support governance, documentation, and leadership level communications to enable timely decision making and consistent program execution.

Candidate MUST haves:
Experience managing complex, multi stakeholder projects
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners (e.g., contractors, government agencies, vendors) on projects with multiple dependencies.
Strong schedule and issue management skills
Proven track record of managing long or multi phase project timelines, identifying risks early, tracking actions, and escalating issues with recommended solutions.
Clear communication and executive readiness
Ability to produce concise status updates, facilitate meetings, and communicate confidently with senior leaders and customers.
Education Level/Type:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience project management experience or certification would be a strong preference but not required
Specific Experience: Technical/Software
Not required but strongly preferred if available:
Federal & Compliance Platforms (Preferred): Familiarity with SAM.gov and Treasury IPP for federal registration, invoicing, and compliance workflows.
Construction Project Management Tools (Preferred): Experience using Procore to track construction activities, submittals, schedules, and field coordination.
Government or Utility Project Exposure (Preferred): Prior experience supporting federal, utility, or infrastructure projects where similar systems and processes are used.
