The Montana Board of Crime Control's (MBCC) mission is to proactively contribute to public safety, crime prevention and victim assistance through planning, policy development and coordination of the justice system in partnership with citizens, government and communities in Montana. In support of this mission, MBCC is comprised of twenty-one dedicated employees possessing a shared vision of public service for Montana's most vulnerable citizens. To support and inform the work of the MBCC, Montana's Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) is housed within the Board. The SAC collects, analyzes, and reports statistics on crime and justice to all levels of government, and manages grants to improve criminal justice data quality and to support criminal justice research.
What is this career opportunity?
The Project Management Specialist, housed in the SAC, serves as a project lead for the Criminal Justice Data Warehouse (JDW) project authorized through the 2023 Montana Legislative Session. The JDW contributes to the comprehensive and cohesive criminal justice system to aid efforts in resource allocation, policy changes, and aims to enhance outcomes for both offenders and crime victims.
