Project Management Consultant

Construction / Data Center Projects | Remote + Travel

Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Management Consultant to support large-scale construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have data center experience.

This role is ideal for someone currently working as a Project Manager on complex builds who enjoys leading teams and driving real progress-but is ready to move beyond the day-to-day grind of RFIs and submittals into a more strategic, high-impact position.

You will work directly with project teams on-site to improve execution, enhance processes, and ensure accountability across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate project meetings that drive alignment and decision-making
  • Push conversations forward to create clear outcomes, ownership, and next steps
  • Identify inefficiencies and partner with teams to improve construction management processes
  • Work closely with general contractors and field teams to enhance project execution
  • Track action items and hold teams accountable to deadlines and commitments
  • Provide insight on project health, risks, and performance
  • Act as a trusted resource to project leadership

Qualifications

  • 3-8 years of construction experience, ideally in data centers or complex commercial/industrial projects
  • Strong ability to run meetings, control conversations, and drive results
  • Experience working with general contractors and cross-functional project teams
  • High energy, positive attitude, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly assess situations and influence outcomes

Travel & Work Structure

  • Travel to project sites approximately 3 weeks per month

  • Typical schedule: Depart Tuesday, return Thursday evenings

  • Remote work when not traveling

  • Must be located near a major airport

Ideal Background

  • Current Project Manager on data center or large-scale construction projects
  • Someone who enjoys leading people and improving outcomes more than handling paperwork
  • A professional who is burnt out on RFIs/submittals and wants to focus on driving execution
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments and naturally takes ownership

Why This Role

  • Opportunity to influence how projects are executed-not just manage them
  • High visibility and impact across major construction projects
  • Strong mix of on-site engagement and remote flexibility
  • Fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on results
