We're seeking an experienced Project Financial Analyst to support a portfolio of IT projects by owning the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis that drive informed project decisions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy partnering with project teams and Finance to keep complex initiatives financially on track, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Own the financial management of multiple IT projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain forecast updates, estimate-at-completion (EAC) forecasts, and cash flow/spend curves for assigned projects.
  • Perform detailed analysis of actuals versus plan, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations to project managers and leadership.
  • Support Project Change Requests (PCRs) by evaluating financial impacts, funding needs, and project risks.
  • Partner closely with Finance on capital vs. expense classifications, capitalization activities, funding requests, accruals, and month-end close.
  • Monitor project financial performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain accurate financial reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation while ensuring compliance with PMO governance and reporting standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project financial analysis, FP&A, project controls, or cost analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and forecasts across multiple projects.
  • Strong experience performing forecast updates, reviewing spend curves, and analyzing project actuals against budget is essential.
  • Working knowledge of project accounting concepts, including capitalization, capital vs. expense, and estimate-at-completion forecasting.
  • Experience with Oracle or other enterprise ERP/project accounting systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets and build financial models.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards in Power BI is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across PMO, IT, and Finance.
  • Familiarity with the Project Life Cycle and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

If you're passionate about delivering meaningful financial insights that help drive successful IT projects, we'd love to connect.
