The position prepares, reviews, and/or provides guidance for line routing, survey coordination, PLS‑CADD modeling, structure design, foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability evaluations, work order package preparation, permitting, vendor/subcontractor coordination, and construction support.What You Will Be DoingDevelop and approve PLS‑CADD CriteriaFinalize PLS‑CADD modelsSchedule project tasks for project support teamAttend client stakeholder meetingsComplete design review meetings with the clientProvide input on special design questionsAttend internal design review meetingsWhat You BringBachelor's in Engineering (required)Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred)4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required)Experience in using PLS‑CADD for designing transmission lines (required)Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACIExperience with liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholdersDemonstrated ability in the application of engineering theories and principlesIncreasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing, and presentingAbility to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulationsAbility to be a self‑starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied and deadline‑driven work environmentStrong ability to collaborate with team members and peers in the electrical utility industryEffective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)Demonstrated verbal and technical writing skillsCandidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policyWhy Join UsYou will have the opportunity to learn, grow and directly contribute to our business.
