Job Summary:
Griffin Construction is looking for a reliable Construction Project Engineer to assist our managers on construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for assisting in the organization, implementation, and scheduling of the projects. We have work all over Oregon, mostly Public Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the project team with schedule updates.
- Organization and processing of: RFI’s, Submittals, ASI's, and PR’s.
- Assist with quality control.
- Assist with project safety plans.
- Assist the Project Manager with monthly pay applications.
- Assist with daily problem-solving and dispute resolution.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods. Knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and a basic understanding of all facets of the construction process. Ability to read and understand drawings and specs.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management and scheduling software. Previous experience with Bluebeam and Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Communication & Customer Service: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess a strong client-facing presence and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
