Job Description: Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design and development of sheet metal products. This role involves working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams. You will review customer specifications, complete the design, alert purchasing about necessary materials, update the Bill of Materials (BOM), and release the design into production. The focus will be on various branding solutions such as LED signage and scoreboards, designing and creating different variants using Solidworks, with an emphasis on product development.

Responsibilities

• Engage in mechanical design and development of sheet metal products.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Review customer specifications and complete the design process.
• Communicate material requirements to the purchasing department.
• Update and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Release designs into production for manufacturing.
• Focus on designing and developing branding solutions like LED signage and scoreboards using Solidworks.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering or relevant experience with an Associate"s Degree and 3+ years in design.
• At least 6 months of Solidworks design experience with sheet metal or structural steel.
• 6+ months experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with sheet metal fabrication.
• Project management skills.
• Detail-oriented mindset.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with EPDM software.
• Passion for sports.
• Knowledge of sheet metal and metal fabrication.
• Mechanical and structural engineering skills.
• Experience with electro-mechanical product engineering.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Drafting experience in AutoCAD.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Portage, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
