About Your Role CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer / Office Engineer to support K-12 capital improvement and renovation projects for Dallas Independent School District (DISD) in Dallas, TX. This role supports construction administration, project coordination, document control, field activities, and project tracking across multiple active projects and delivery phases.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in:
Construction Management Engineering Architecture Related field
Preferred Education
Master's Degree preferred
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in:
Construction Project Engineering Project Coordination
Basic understanding of:
Construction processes Drawings Specifications
Experience supporting:
Document control Construction administration tasks
Proficiency in:
Microsoft Word Excel Outlook
Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in fast-paced project environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with:
K-12 construction Higher education projects Public-sector construction programs
Familiarity with:
e-Builder Procore PMWeb
Exposure to:
Primavera P6 Microsoft Project
Knowledge of:
Construction safety standards Regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
Support execution of multiple K-12 construction and renovation projects through all phases of delivery Assist in maintaining:
Project schedules Budgets Tracking tools and logs
Manage and track:
RFIs Submittals Change Orders Meeting Minutes Project Correspondence
Coordinate with:
Contractors Consultants Internal project teams
Assist in reviewing construction drawings and specifications for completeness and constructability Track and follow up on outstanding items to support timely project resolution Support construction administration activities including logging, routing, and tracking project documentation Attend project meetings and track action items through completion Conduct site visits to:
Observe construction progress Document field conditions Support issue identification
Assist with contractor progress verification and pay application review Maintain accurate project records aligned with client and program requirements Support QA/QC efforts through:
Document review Field observations
Assist with procurement support and bid tracking activities Support project closeout including:
Punch lists Turnover documentation Final package collection
Utilize project management systems such as:
e-Builder Procore PMWeb
