Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer at Weis Builders, you will play a pivotal role in the success of every project by acting as the central hub of communication between the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, client, and architect. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build lasting relationships, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the continued growth of Weis Builders.ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with clients, architects, and vendors to facilitate future planning and contribute to Weis Builders' ongoing growthAssist with material take-offs, gather subcontractor and supplier quotes, prepare project schedules, monitor the punch list process, and assist with subcontractor award processes and monthly progress billingsImplement cost and time-saving measures, obtain necessary permits, assist with field start-up activities, generate reports as needed, manage the submittal process, and submit weekly OFIs (Opportunities for Improvement) for future projectsCollaborate with the Project Coordinator to obtain final closeout documents, prepare project records for storage, and assist with warranty follow-upsDevelop a solid understanding of building codes and design principles, continually improve technical and managerial skills, and assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and within budgetQualificationsAbility to quickly build rapport and collaborate effectively in a team settingDegree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related construction fieldStrong client focus with a commitment to exceeding expectationsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyA strong work ethic, professionalism, and integrity in all interactionsStrong written communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and professional documents, emails, and reportsWhy Join Weis Builders?Gain experience in the construction industryOffering exposure to project management, estimating, field operations, and much moreWork with a team that values innovation, client satisfaction, and career developmentContribute to projects that positively impact communities and clientsCompetitive learning environment with support from experienced professionalsBenefits We OfferWe take care of our team so they can do their best work.
