Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):Assists project manager in planning to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budgetWorks with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problemsAssists in coordinating the delivery of supplier components in a timely and cost effective mannerPerforms mechanical engineering functions to configure turnkey systems, including detail designs for components to be manufacturedIs a key user of SAP, responsible for the procurement of all purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services, generating engineering data in material masters and bill of materials in SAPInvestigates all new developments relative to material and supplies and implements procedures designed to reduce costs and improve qualityAssists in reviewing project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projectAssists Service and Applications Engineers in the field with questions and concerns while at customersWorks to resolve open issues on projects through receipt of final paymentMaintains technical information database for product groupsResponsible for mechanical systems document control (ex: manuals, parts list and drawings) for the projectInitiates shipping and transportation of goods to and from customers and suppliersInterfaces with equipment suppliers regarding project requirements and schedulesAssists customers with all technical aspects of machine repair via phone support as required by the Service groupCoordinates the information exchange between customer, RSM and internal groupsMinimum Qualifications (Education, Experience in Related Field, Skills, etc.):Bachelor's degree and minimum of seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceIntermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical blueprint reading and trouble shooting skillsIntermediate to Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD programsIntermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft SchedulerExperience in customer relations; communicating with and solving customer problemsHands‑on experience in machining, machine assembly, repair and operation of machinery, hydraulics and pneumaticsPreferred Qualifications (Certificates, Training, Licenses, and Experience):Ability to read electrical schematics, and understand wiring of machine toolsUnderstand mechanical measurements and inspection methodsAbility to conduct business in the German languageOther (Supervisory Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Working Conditions, Travel):May assist customers with machine repair technical support as requested by the Customer Care groupEmployee may be trained in safe crane and forklift operationsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles and moderate noise levelOccasional overnight domestic and international travel may be requiredCore Competencies:Job KnowledgeInitiativeDecision MakingProblem SolvingTime Management and ProductivityQualityCommunicationCustomer ServiceResults DrivenUnited Grinding North America, Inc. is a committed employer of EOE, including Disability/Vets#J-18808-Ljbffr
