This Project Engineer will help oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring successful delivery while helping maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.

Description

  • Support the execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, assisting in maintaining project safety, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Coordinate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, contracts, and closeout packages.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project schedules, procurement logs, and cost tracking reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners to facilitate effective project communication and coordination.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project progress, outstanding issues, and upcoming milestones.
  • Coordinate material procurement, subcontractor activities, and field operations to support efficient project execution.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist with project cost control efforts, including tracking budgets, processing pay applications, and monitoring change management activities.
  • Support quality control and safety initiatives by helping ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and site requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and contribute to successful project closeout through document management and turnover coordination.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-5+ years of experience in commercial construction, engineering, or project coordination roles.
  • Understanding of construction documents, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Commitment to jobsite safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting commercial construction projects is preferred.
