Overview The Project Engineer plays a vital role in supporting Project Managers across all phases of construction projects. This position serves as a crucial link between project design and field execution, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You\'ll work alongside experienced Project Managers on projects ranging from municipal lighting and sports facilities to EV infrastructure and power distribution, gaining valuable experience across every phase of construction while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 / Year DOEResponsibilities Review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope of work documentsPrepare, submit, and track material submittals and approval processesAssist with Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, project correspondence, and document controlSupport Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination activitiesCoordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, inspectors, architects, engineers, and clients to support project executionSolicit and evaluate quotations for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted servicesMonitor procurement activities and material deliveries to support project schedulesConduct jobsite visits as needed to verify project progress, material requirements, and field conditionsAssist in maintaining project records, logs, reports, and closeout documentationParticipate in project meetings and prepare meeting notes, action items, and follow-up communicationsIdentify and communicate project risks, delays, or potential issues to project leadershipMaintain organized task lists and prioritize assignments to meet project deadlinesAssist in the estimating process for new potential jobs as well as for change orders for current jobsSupport project closeout activities and final deliverables to clientsPerform other duties and special projects as assignedQualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction project coordination, project engineering, or related construction management rolesElectrical construction experience is strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and contractsWorking knowledge of construction project management processes and documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and other construction management softwareBachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred or electrical technology certificate from a state-approved program; Relevant coursework or industry certifications along with HS diploma or GED also acceptedExperience supporting commercial, industrial, public works, or infrastructure projects is preferredExperience working in a union construction environment is preferredBenefits 401(k) Plan with matching contributionsPaid Time Off (PTO) with accrual based on tenurePaid Holidays (10 per year)Group Health Insurance with 100% premium coverage for employees and their immediate family after 90 days of employmentIf you are a Project Engineer looking to take the next step in your career, apply now!#J-18808-Ljbffr
