Project Director / Xactimate Estimator

Capital Disaster Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Project Director / Xactimate Estimator to lead project costing, oversee mitigation and reconstruction scopes, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant estimates across all multifamily and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at communication, and is confident managing both field coordination and high‑level estimating responsibilities.

Position Overview
The Project Director / Estimator is responsible for producing precise Xactimate estimates, validating scopes, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors, and ensuring projects stay aligned with budget expectations. This role directly supports CDS leadership, Project Managers, and Superintendents to maintain operational excellence and strong client satisfaction.

 
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Documentation
Receive project details from Sales and Project Managers and build detailed, accurate estimates in Xactimate.
Analyze plans, scopes, and specifications to determine labor, materials, equipment, and timeline requirements.
Request asbestos reports and other required documentation prior to estimating.
Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns, budgets, and timelines for mitigation and construction projects.
Export estimates into Proven Jobs and maintain organized project files.
Collaboration & Field Coordination
Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and ownership to gather accurate cost data.
Schedule and attend site visits with subcontractors or CDS team members to validate scope and pricing.
Ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule expectations, and industry standards.
Project Tracking & Reporting
Provide detailed cost reports, updates, and budget tracking to CDS management.
Monitor project expenses and support financial accuracy throughout the job lifecycle.
Sales Support (as needed)
Assist the Sales team with marketing new leads and opportunities when estimate workflow slows.
Participate in daily fire notifications and help identify new opportunities across Houston and surrounding cities.
