Cost Accounting Manager
Cost Accounting Manager responsibilities include:
- Prepares project work in progress schedules and reports
- Confers with estimators, team members and Regional Accounting staff on changes and adjustments to cost estimates and budgets
- Prepares projections used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
- Prepares cost and expenditure statements
- Assesses cost effectiveness of products, projects or services
- Tracks actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
- Sets up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction
- Analyzes and recaps monthly financial data
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years job costing or process costing experience working in a construction environment or related field as well as 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate others
- Experience managing change across an organization
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate with a multi-department, multi-location team
- Thorough current knowledge of financial and accounting practices and procedures
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
