We are seeking a skilled Project Controls Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Conshohocken, PA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in project scheduling, cost controls, forecasting, and reporting within engineering and construction environments. The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting successful project execution by ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead project controls processes alongside the internal project management team
• Ensure proper project setup within Enterprise Planning & Controls software
• Analyze project data, review logs, and generate reports
• Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Develop and maintain project schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow reports
• Support engineering, procurement, and construction planning activities
• Monitor and maintain project schedules including logic ties and resource loading
• Conduct schedule analysis, critical path evaluations, and what-if scenario assessments
• Develop and maintain earned value management systems and progress curves
• Review project costs, contingency tracking, purchase orders, and subcontract coding
• Collaborate with Project Management and Accounting teams on forecasting and audits
• Support Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM)
• Perform quality checks, field audits, and inspections on project controls deliverables
• Assist with project forensic analysis as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Equivalent applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Minimum 3 years of direct project controls experience
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred
• Strong understanding of scheduling, forecasting, cost control, and earned value management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain
