Job Responsibilities/Duties
Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste. H2C is seeking a Project Controls Engineer Associate to support the Functional Project Controls Organization.

Key responsibilities include:

* Under direct supervision, responsible for preparing estimating, scheduling or cost engineering data to provide accurate information to be used for project planning and analysis of project status .

* Performs routine assigned tasks related to the preparation and application of schedule updates and cost monitoring activities (direct labor, material, subcontract and indirect costs).

* Assists in the reviews required for cost control data and collects information for specific functions and disciplines. Coordinates the timeliness and accuracy of the ETC/forecast relative to the scope in the development of resource loaded schedules and Activity Based Cost Estimates. The ETC development may be based on quantities, vendor estimates, vendor durations, prior historical information, subject matter expert input or industry standards such as Means.

* Assists in the periodic (typically monthly) status/input into the integrated cost and scheduling software (i.e. COBRA/P6). Assists in Performance Measurement Baseline development and maintenance.

* Assists in the preparation, logging, and tracking of Baseline Change Proposals and cost/schedule trend reports.

* Provides scheduling support to facility, department or project activities as directed.

* Reviews purchase requisitions and invoices for application of appropriate cost codes, budget ceilings and quantities.

* Other duties as assigned.

* Comply with H2C policies and procedures.

* Ensure ISMS principles are incorporated into organization's activities.

* Ability to manage a change in priorities.

Required Qualifications
* Grade 14:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in project management, construction management, engineering, business or other related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

* Grade 15:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in project management, construction management, engineering, business or other related discipline and 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

* Grade 16:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in project management, construction management, engineering, business or other related discipline and 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.

Desired Qualifications
* Experience with earned value systems utilized at H2C, including but not limited to cost analysis, EAC development, schedule development and maintenance, earned value reporting systems, subcontract management, estimating, and Primavera P6 knowledge.

* Good interpersonal and communications skills needed to be able to communicate with personnel, management, and support organizations.

* Frequent use and general knowledge of Project Controls practices, techniques, and standards.

* General application of concepts and principles.

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $74,538
Hiring Range Maximum: $113,550
