    About Your Role CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Project Controls Assistant Manager to support Dallas Independent School District (DISD) capital improvement and construction programs in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for supporting project controls functions including cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, earned value analysis, dashboard development, and program performance monitoring across multiple K-12 construction projects.

    Required Education

    Bachelor's Degree in:

    Construction Management Engineering Finance Related field

    Preferred Certifications

    Progress toward or certification in:

    AACE CCP AACE PSP Similar project controls certifications

    Required Qualifications

    7-10 years of experience in:

    Project Controls Scheduling Cost Management Construction or infrastructure programs

    Strong experience with:

    Primavera P6 Microsoft Project

    Working knowledge of:

    Cost control Forecasting Earned value analysis

    Experience supporting:

    Multi-project programs Capital improvement programs

    Strong:

    Analytical skills Organizational skills Problem-solving abilities

    Advanced proficiency in:

    Microsoft Excel Reporting tools

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with:

    K-12 construction programs Public-sector programs Bond-funded programs

    Familiarity with:

    e-Builder Procore PMWeb

    Knowledge of:

    Financial systems Integration with project controls platforms

    Experience developing:

    Power BI dashboards Reporting dashboards KPI tracking tools

    Progress toward or possession of:

    AACE CCP AACE PSP certifications

    Responsibilities

    Assist in managing project controls functions across multiple K-12 construction projects including:

    Cost tracking Forecasting Reporting

    Assist with establishing and maintaining:

    Project budgets Cost forecasts Cash flow projections

    Track:

    Project expenditures Commitments Funding alignment

    Support:

    Earned value analysis Performance measurement Project health evaluations

    Develop and maintain:

    Dashboards Reports KPIs for program leadership

    Coordinate with:

    Project Managers Assistant Project Managers Program teams

    Collect, validate, and update project controls data Identify:

    Trends Risks Cost variances Schedule variances

    Assist in reviewing:

    Contractor cost proposals Change Orders

    Support:

    Monthly reporting Quarterly reporting Stakeholder reporting requirements

    Maintain project controls documentation and reporting consistency across projects Assist in implementing and improving:

    Project controls standards Processes Reporting tools

    Coordinate with:

    Finance teams Accounting teams

    Support integration of systems including:

    e-Builder PMWeb Similar project management platforms

    Participate in:

    Project meetings Program meetings Leadership reporting discussions

    Provide mentorship and guidance to:

    Junior project controls staff Analysts

    Preferred Skills / Abilities
