Position: Senior Project Controls Analyst - Contract 24-30 months

Duties/Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Controls Analyst provides cost control, scheduling, forecasting, risk analysis, and overall project controls support for engineering and capital project teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting project teams with WBS setup, estimate reviews, accounting setup, monthly financial reporting, project close-out activities, and financial review preparation
  • Developing and maintaining change management processes for projects and subcontractors
  • Creating and managing project control budgets from approved funding authorizations using project WBS structures
  • Monitoring actual costs, commitments, incurred costs, and work order tracking; analyzing trends, burn rates, and forecasts; and supporting project reporting activities
  • Leading project controls efforts on large-scale capital projects
  • Participating in project review and coordination meetings
  • Supporting estimating, scheduling, and cost management activities for engineering capital projects
  • Assisting Project Managers with preparation and management of funding requests and supplemental authorizations within enterprise project costing systems
  • Proactively identifying project risks, issues, and opportunities, and developing resolutions using available resources
  • Attending site meetings and helping determine project controls requirements
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contractors to support successful project execution

Travel to field locations may occasionally be required and is expected to be less than 10% of total time. The position supports a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent projects, shifting priorities, and periodic overtime requirements.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in project controls, cost control, or related project support functions
  • Strong experience in project cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Ability to support and lead large, complex capital projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
  • Experience with enterprise financial/project systems preferred
  • Proficiency with standard PC-based business applications required
  • Experience with reporting and project costing platforms is a plus
