Job Title: Project Controls Analyst - Construction Business Operations
Job Description
The Project Controls Analyst - Construction Business Operations supports compliance, document control, and reporting activities across construction projects, with a strong focus on information integrity within the construction project management system. This role manages prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and related labor compliance, oversees document control structures, audits processes and reports, and ensures timely and accurate reporting in line with state and federal requirements. The position works closely with project management, operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain high standards of compliance, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage compliance with prevailing wage laws and apprenticeship program requirements, ensuring proper documentation and reporting for all related activities.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable labor standards, including relevant federal acts, ensuring that wage rates and labor requirements are upheld on designated projects.
- Ensure adherence to local and domestic content requirements for all projects, verifying that all regulations are followed, documented, and auditable.
- Implement and manage document control processes to ensure the accuracy, organization, and accessibility of all compliance-related and project documents.
- Handle routine inquiries and concerns related to documentation and compliance, including reviewing submissions and following up with involved parties to secure timely document submission.
- Conduct regular audits of internal processes to ensure adherence to compliance requirements, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Review and audit compliance reports for accuracy and completeness, preparing detailed findings and recommendations based on audit results.
- Stay current with changes in relevant federal, state, and local regulations and ensure organizational practices remain aligned with current laws and standards.
- Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams on compliance requirements, document control procedures, and best practices.
- Set up and maintain projects within the construction project management system, ensuring data integrity and adherence to company standards and processes.
- Create and generate reports from the construction project management system, analyze data, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to Project Managers.
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and internal customers to support smooth project execution and compliance.
- Assist Operations with administrative duties and perform other related tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Provide support to the construction management team as needed, contributing to project coordination and overall project success.
- Audit contractor reports and contractual requirements to confirm compliance with contract terms and applicable regulations.
- Audit internal processes to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and recommend corrective actions where needed.
- Promote effective communication and coordination with other departments to support integrated project delivery and consistent compliance practices.
- Guide and support project management team members on compliance, document control, and reporting requirements as needed.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Experience with document control and organizing large volumes of project or compliance documentation.
- Experience with project coordination, including working with multiple stakeholders such as vendors, internal staff, and other partners.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of information integrity.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues proactively.
- Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks through to completion with minimal direction.
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Document control and/or process auditing experience in a professional setting.
- Construction experience and/or completion of a construction-related internship.
- Renewable energy experience and/or completion of a renewable energy-related internship.
- Experience with process auditing, including reviewing reports and internal procedures for compliance.
- Experience managing projects with multiple levels of interface between vendors, internal staff, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated solution-seeking mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.
Work Environment
This is an office-based position with a standard schedule of five days per week on site. The role operates within a construction business operations environment and involves frequent interaction with project managers, operations staff, vendors, and subcontractors. Work is primarily performed using a construction project management system and standard office productivity tools, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, documentation, and reporting. The environment supports collaboration, communication, and cross-functional coordination to ensure compliant and efficient project delivery.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
