The role at a glance:
 
NBBJ Boston is seeking a Project Architect with experience in the design, documentation and planning of complex projects at various scales. Our market sectors include Science, Healthcare, Higher Education, Mixed-Use Commercial and Corporate Interiors. This is an opportunity to join a fully integrated design studio where a diverse group of visionary designers and architects collaborate as a team from concept design through construction. 
 
In your new role, you will: 
  • Support and lead the technical design and documentation of projects at various scales
  • Participate in client presentations, & coordination with OPM’s
  • Familiarity in developing and finalizing documents to ensure compliance with building codes, life safety standards, FGI guidelines, with a focus on technical accuracy and regulatory adherence
  • Coordinate with interior, MEP, and structural disciplines throughout the design and documentation phases
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through Construction Administration

What you will need to succeed:

  • 10-12 years of experience in architectural design and documentation in medium to large scale building programs
  • Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation
  • Experience in projects from design development through construction administration, with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship skills, and talent for working with diverse teams of designers and consultants in a collaborative environment
  • Experience with interior documentation and detailing, including casework detailing
  • Strong Revit proficiency
  • Professional Licensure or progress toward licensure is encouraged.
  • LEED Accreditation, encouraged
  • Familiarity with LEAN Concepts, encouraged
The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $110,000 and $120,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
 
This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
