Aviation Project Architect / Designer

Position Overview
A nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Aviation Project Architect / Designer to support and lead aviation-related projects.
This role involves contributing to all phases of project delivery from planning and design development through construction documentation and administration with a focus on airport and aviation facilities. The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, and experienced in coordinating complex public-sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and design of aviation and airport-related facilities.
- Lead or support development of construction documents and technical detailing.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and specialty aviation stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, aviation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings.
- Support construction administration activities, including site visits and submittal review.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- 610 years of professional experience, with aviation project experience preferred.
- Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and construction documentation processes.
- Knowledge of aviation design standards and public-sector project delivery.
- Strong understanding of building codes and technical detailing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with airport terminals, concourses, support facilities, or landside/airside infrastructure.
- Experience coordinating with aviation authorities and regulatory agencies.
- LEED accreditation or sustainable design experience is a plus.
