JOB SUMMARY:
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Project Analyst to join the dynamic Shipping Containers team within Reactor Servicing. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual passionate about project management and eager to contribute to the mission of the Naval Nuclear Program. As a key member of the team, you will gain exposure to various aspects of the Shipping Containers area within Reactor Servicing while supporting the delivery of critical products and the continued development of our program management infrastructure.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain schedules for hardware or process development projects.
Work directly with line management to tackle a variety of challenges.
Collaborate with Business Professionals, IT support, Project Managers, and line managers to provide:
Project planning and scheduling
Resource and procurement planning / management
Budget performance measurement
Coordination and integration of project team efforts
Offer strategic insight through:
Identifying risks and setting project priorities
Developing innovative metrics and project tracking measures
Enhancing project management infrastructure* Contributing to tools and techniques that shape how we manage our business

WORK HOURS: A 40-hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10’s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80’s (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education: Minimum four-year degree in engineering/science, business, project management, or another project related or technical field Microsoft Office Project planning and estimating Technical writing and reports.

Experience:
Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
Experience managing engineering projects and developing schedules.
Database development and management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Area Security Access: Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance.
