Samet is actively searching for a Project Accountant to support and serve our corporate and field operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of Owner invoices for construction projects, including coordination with Project Managers and Group Managers for review of all draft invoices and documentation.Processing construction project‑related subcontractor pay applications and other vendor invoices, including verification, coding and routing to approver(s) and preparing AP payments. Includes verification of proper risk management procedures including lien waivers and certificates of insurance.Obtain project close‑out documentation.Retainage release after proper documentation is obtained.Cross training responsibilities may include certificate of insurance, document imaging and expense reports, reconciling and entering credit card payments.Assisting with special projects.Qualifications / RequirementsTwo years of construction related experience in Accounting preferred. General contractor is preferred.3-5 years of experience in A/PData Entry SkillsBachelor's degree preferred or an Associates' degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.Excellent computer & software skills, with the ability to learn, adapt to and implement new systems. Proficiency in Excel a must.Experience with Timberline (Sage 300) software a plus.Ability to multi task and prioritize in a fast paced environment.This role requires a team player with a customer‑service approach to co‑workers and subcontractors, and a passion for collaborative improvement and implementation of effective work processes, procedures and standards in a team environment.In business since 1961, Samet Corporation is a leader in construction and real estate development services in the Triad region of North Carolina.
