The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. This position requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, general ledger, account reconciliation, accounts payable, financial statements, financial analysis, accounting, and financial accounting.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and project profitability reports.
3. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
5. Handle accounts payable, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and accurately.
6. Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, monitor project costs, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
7. Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for construction projects to assist management in decision making.
8. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
9. Provide financial expertise and advice to project teams and stakeholders.
10. Assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary information and addressing any concerns.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, general ledger, account reconciliation, accounts payable, financial statements, financial analysis, accounting, and financial accounting.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable.
