Assignment Details
- Shift: Night Shift – 4x12 Hours
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Location: Potsdam, New York
- Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Patient Population
- PCU and MS Telemetry patients
- Surgical pre-op and post-op patients
- ENT surgery
- General surgery
- Trauma surgery
- Orthopedic surgery
- Overflow medical patients
- Occasional pediatric patients (assigned only if experienced)
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Must have PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown nursing
- Medical-Surgical Telemetry
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Post-MI care
- Cardiac drips and heparin protocols
- IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
- Blood product administration
- Central line, PICC line, and peripheral IV management
- Phlebotomy and IV starts
- Feeding tube care and management
- Continuous bladder irrigation
- Renal failure management
- PCA pumps
- Thrombolytic agents
- CVA and seizure management
- Substance withdrawal care
- Orthopedic trauma and traction
- Total joint replacements
- Chest tube management
- CPAP/BiPAP and HFNC
- ABG interpretation
- Tracheostomy care
- Isolation precautions
- Wound care and wound vac management
