Role:  Programmer Analyst (Senior IBM MDM Developer)

Location: Lansing, MI (Onsite from Day 1) - Local candidates only

Duration: Through 09/30/2026 (High possibility of extension)

Job Summary

We are seeking a  Senior IBM Master Data Management (MDM) & Integration Developer to support and enhance enterprise-level Master Person Index (MPI), Michigan Index Data Stewardship Portal (MIDSP), and Symmetry applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in  IBM InfoSphere MDM Standard Edition (Virtual MDM),  Apache Kafka, Java development, and enterprise application support.

Note: Only candidates located near Lansing, MI or willing to relocate immediately (Day 1 onsite) will be considered.  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 8+ years of enterprise software development experience supporting large-scale applications.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with  IBM InfoSphere MDM v14.x Standard Edition (Virtual MDM), including:
• Data modeling
• Entity management
• Transactions
• Batch processing
• Configuration & customization
• Troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with  Apache Kafka.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of IBM MDM architecture and MDM concepts.
• 8+ years of Java/J2EE development (Java, JSP, REST/SOAP Web Services).
• 5+ years of Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting.
• Apache Kafka administration, producer/consumer development, Strimzi Operator, ZooKeeper, and Food and Beverage.
• WildFly application server administration and deployment.
• Kafka integration with IBM MDM and WildFly.
• Oracle and SQL Server database development with advanced SQL.
• Linux Shell/Bash scripting and CRON scheduling.
• CI/CD using Azure DevOps, Git, Azure Repos.
• OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure Cloud.
• ELK/Elastic Stack monitoring and log analysis.
• Flowable experience is a plus.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and enhance IBM MDM, MPI, MIDSP, and Symmetry applications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise applications following SDLC.
• Create functional and technical documentation.
• Develop SQL scripts and work closely with Database Administrators.
• Develop PowerShell and Bash scripts for automation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production and non-production environments.
• Manage Git/GitHub repositories and CI/CD deployments.
• Support Linux and Windows environments, certificates, and infrastructure coordination.
• Execute application deployments, testing, UAT support, RFC implementation, and production support.
• Create monthly MDM reports and maintain application documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and business teams to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
