Overview of Our Programs

In Memphis, over 45,000 young adults are out of school and out of work, and only 1% will be on the path to a living wage by the time they are 28. Though eager to build a better future, they face steep barriers including inadequate workforce preparation and limited financial support. Beyond these barriers, there simply aren’t enough quality jobs in Memphis to meet demand.

Job training alone is not enough. To break long-standing cycles of poverty in Memphis, young people need direct, comprehensive support and collective action to increase and improve access to quality jobs. That’s where The Collective Blueprint comes in.

TCB identifies in-demand, living-wage career pathways and recruits  participants (called “Leaders”) to enroll in their comprehensive programming. Leaders receive:

Professional Development & Technical Training

  • 110+ hour course to build the soft skills, critical thinking, and confidence needed to navigate the workplace
  • Six week paid internship

Personalized Coaching & Wraparound Supports

  • Coaching on personal, academic, and career development
  • Access to mental health support through therapy and trauma-informed curriculum
  • $400 monthly stipend, plus emergency and transportation assistance

Career Placement & Network Connections

  • Employer partnerships for internships, full-time roles,  interview prep, and job search support
  • A lifelong peer and support network to navigate ongoing career journey

The mission of The Collective Blueprint is to increase socio-economic mobility for young adults by building pathways to thriving careers.
