Supervisor: Senior Program Director
Job Purpose: The Supervisor of Middle and High School Programming supports high-quality program delivery by overseeing staff development, operational coordination, and partnerships. This role works closely with the Senior Program Director to ensure programs are effective, well-managed, and aligned with organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.
Plan, coordinate, and execute middle and high school programming to ensure engaging and high-impact experiences for students.
Manages and develops staff through supervision, performance evaluation, training, and coaching; support hiring and onboarding processes; and ensures accountability to program expectations, student meeting coverage, learning contracts, and student engagement outcomes.
Assist with Curriculum organization and Design
Supports agency objectives by contributing information and recommendations for curriculum planning and review.
Participates in creating and revising curriculum frameworks.
Research best practices and current educational trends to identify opportunities for curriculum enhancement.
Oversee planning, staffing, and implementation of summer camps, ensuring program quality, safety, and alignment with organizational standards.
Program Administration
Meets financial objectives for projects by forecasting requirements; prepares project budgets and schedules expenditures.
Contributes to team effort
Enhances professional knowledge by attending educational workshops/seminars and establishing professional networks.
Assist with development activities as needed. Including grant reports, special events and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s required, Public Administration, Human Services, Education or related field or commensurate experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of program/project management required, preferably in the non-profit sector.
Previous supervisory experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proven ability to multitask, meet deadlines, make quick decisions, problem-solve, strong time management skills and will work in a team environment.
Ability to mentor and coach subordinates on organizational improvement, change management and individual performance; effectively communicates performance expectations.
Highly developed interpersonal, public speaking, problem solving, strategic, analytical decision-making skills and ability to work in an ever-changing environment that provides both barriers and opportunities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required to interact in a professional manner with team members, school officials, community contacts, and program participants.
Competent computer skills required to perform essential functions listed above.
Must be detail oriented, have strong management skills, is proactive, and is collaborative and provide innovation and growth.
