About the Position

The TimeClock Plus (TCP) Director is responsible for administering the agency's time and attendance program for more than 1,600 employees across eight divisions and contract personnel. This position manages the TimeClock Plus (TCP) system, coordinates payroll timekeeping activities, ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, and serves as the primary liaison between Human Resources, Payroll, Management Information Systems (MIS), and agency management regarding employee timekeeping and attendance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administer and maintain the TimeClock Plus (TCP) timekeeping system for agency employees and contract personnel. Manage the bi-weekly timekeeping process, including reviewing, validating, and uploading employee timesheets into SPAHRS to support timely payroll processing. Monitor employee time records for accuracy, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with supervisors, Payroll, and Human Resources. Analyze timekeeping data to monitor FLSA overtime, leave usage, leave without pay, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) activity, workers' compensation leave, attendance trends, and other workforce metrics. Serve as the primary resource for supervisors and employees by providing guidance on timekeeping procedures, leave policies, payroll deadlines, and system functionality. Coordinate with Human Resources to maintain accurate employee records, including FLSA status, work schedules, reporting relationships, and new hire or separation updates. Process employee schedule changes within TimeClock Plus and MAGIC Employee Central (MAGIC EC) to ensure accurate payroll and attendance reporting. Maintain employee and contractor time records, including entering contractor hours and updating employee information for new hires, transfers, and terminations. Generate payroll-related reports, identify and resolve processing errors, and ensure all payroll deadlines established by the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) are met. Develop, maintain, and update timekeeping procedures, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance. Provide orientation and ongoing training to new employees, supervisors, and managers regarding TimeClock Plus, timekeeping procedures, and agency policies. Supervise the Timekeeping Support Team by assigning work, providing guidance, ensuring separation of duties, and promoting accurate and efficient payroll support operations. Collaborate with Payroll, Human Resources, Budget & Accounting, MIS, and division leadership to improve timekeeping processes, support audits, and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies. Perform other related duties as assigned.
