Program Specialist | Document Classification/Declassification Review

ProSidian seeks a Program Specialist | Document Classification/Declassification Review engagement team member. This is a contract contingent or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time ProSidian employed W-2 position. The role is aligned under services related to NAICS: 541611 located in Washington, DC, supporting the Department of Energy's Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS).

This position requires candidates with relevant Energy, Resources, and Industrials Sector experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Resources, and Industrials Sector clients such as EHSS. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing support for DOE-certified historical records review
  • Assisting in developing/revising classification/UCNI guidance
  • Policy and procedure development
  • Coordinating with program offices for CUI determinations
  • Providing logistical support for unclassified and classified meetings
  • Managing record collection shipments

Desired qualifications for this role include:

  • Strong understanding of DOE and federal classification/declassification policies
  • Familiarity with DOE regulations, including FOIA and Privacy Act
  • Experience in technical assistance, records management, and compliance
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with multiple program offices

Education/experience requirements/qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., political science, law, information science)
  • 5+ years of experience in records management or classification/declassification
  • Experience with federal information security programs

Skills required include:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with records management systems
  • Proficiency in using classified document networks and systems like C-NET and ESN
  • Familiarity with DOE policies

Competencies required include:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
