**Job Description** **The Department of Psyc** **hiatry & Behavioral Sciences within the UW School of Medicine currently has an outstanding opportunity for** **a** **Temporary Program Operations Specialist** **to join their team** **.** Reporting to Dr. Amritha Bhat, the Temporary Program Operations Specialist is responsible for ?providing operations leadership for the Raising Washington Navigator Program and will play an integral role in program design, development, execution, evaluation, and innovation. This program is a high-visibility project supported by the School of Medicine, Nursing, and Social Work with direct impact on perinatal, postpartum and infant-toddler patient experience and outcomes. This position is hybrid-eligible. **Key Responsibilities** Program Operations (60%) + Develop, maintain, and communicate policies and procedures for the Raising Washington Navigator pilot program. + Develop and maintain a resource database by identifying and building knowledge of perinatal resources throughout UW Medicine and Washington State. + Serve as a resource for referring providers, including but not limited to triage of requests for consultation and providing referrals to available internal and community behavioral health resources. Provide top-level customer service to a diverse customer base. + Communicate and coordinate with providers, staff and patients for any needed follow-up. Follow protocol for communicating with primary care / prenatal, and pediatric providers in response to urgent and emergent situations. + In concert with the PERC center Director and the Raising Washington project management team, identify new and ongoing areas for improvement, and opportunities related to the Raising Washington Navigator pilot program. Quality Improvement, Analytics, and Reporting (30%) + Ensure that all required program data are collected and accurately documented in relevant Epic, Excel or REDCap program database(s) to ensure data integrity. Resolve data discrepancies. + Participate in iterative quality improvement cycles, identifying system gaps and proposing workflow solutions. + Coordinate with Project Manager to evaluate the efficacy and outcomes of services delivered and identify opportunities for improving program quality. Outreach, Relationship and Network Building (10%) + Build and maintain relationships with the Department, UW Medicine, Nursing, Social work, outpatient clinical services, hospital-based care, and community resources and other related parties in support of the Raising Washington Navigator mission. + In collaboration with the _Director_ and project management team, actively engage in Raising Washington outreach and marketing efforts by assisting in the development, maintain, and distribute information about the program. **Required Qualifications** To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and additional qualifications listed below. Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in a Public Health Field (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Behavioral Health) or related field, and a minimum of one year of experience in health care, social services, or community-based support roles. + Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT beforwardedto the Hiring Manager. **Additional Qualifications** + Experience navigating EPIC or another similar electronic health record. + Cultural humility and ability to work effectively with diverse communities. + Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to interact positively with a wide range of people. + Ability to work remotely and to accommodate occasional travel to clinic locations. **Preferred Qualifications** + Fluent in Spanish. + Two years of experience in health care, social services, or community-based support roles. + Experience working directly with patients, clients, or community members. + Experience working in mental and/or prenatal or postnatal health care settings. Prior experience in mental health triage. + Experience working at the University of Washington or UW Medicine. + Documented excellence in customer service. + Understanding of trauma and culturally informed care. + Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks and quickly synthesize information. + Demonstrated attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and creative problem-solving skills. + Ability to work effectively with a large, interdisciplinary team. + Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, SharePoint, and Epic. **About the Team** The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences (https://psychiatry.uw.edu/who-we-are/) within the UW School of Medicine is the third largest clinical department within the School of Medicine with 330 full-time faculty members, 460 courtesy faculty members, and over 350 staff.
