Program Manager

A client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role will drive production performance, oversee key programs, and partner closely with plant leadership, engineering, and supply chain teams.

This is a high-impact position focused on plant operations, continuous improvement, and program execution within a fast-paced industrial environment.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

• Lead and manage multiple manufacturing and operations programs from planning through execution.
• Partner with plant operations, engineering, and supply chain to ensure on-time production and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence).
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
• Manage program timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Identify risks within production, supply chain, and operations and implement mitigation plans.
• Support capital projects, including equipment installation and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA) and company policies.
• Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years' experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Operations Management.
• Background in manufacturing, steel, metals, or heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with plant operations, supply chain, production planning, and cross-functional program leadership.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

NICE TO HAVE 

• Experience in steel, metals, or metal fabrication.
• PMP certification or similar.
• Engineering or operations-related degree.
• Experience leading plant-level initiatives or capital projects.
