You will lead a dynamic, evolving team of 15 employees, driving the strategy, optimization, and continuous improvement of pharmacy business services.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations for 340B clinic-administered medications, split-billing software, and pharmacy fulfillments across the enterprise
  • Team Management: Direct a 15-person team, including hiring, onboarding, mentorship, and performance evaluation
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with pharmacy leadership to develop and execute business plans that leverage 340B savings to expand care for underserved populations
  • Financial Stewardship: Prepare budgets, manage drug spend analysis, forecast financial impacts, and monitor program savings

Compliance & Audit Governance

  • Regulatory Expert: Serve as the institutional authority on HRSA/OPA guidelines, Medicaid regulations, and federal compliance
  • Audit Readiness: Lead internal and external audits, serve as the primary audit coordinator, and manage remediation efforts to ensure 100% compliance
  • Program Integrity: Oversee annual HRSA recertification, maintain database accuracy, and ensure all child sites meet registration requirements

Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • System Optimization: Champion the implementation of automation tools (RPA) and software to increase efficiency and compliance
  • Contract Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with contracted pharmacies, including data setup, billing services, and contract language
  • Process Improvement: Monitor points of service for new 340B opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate operational barriers

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Education & Training: Develop competency materials and conduct ongoing training to keep all staff aligned with program standards
  • Communication: Act as the primary liaison for 340B inquiries, presenting key metrics and performance reports to senior administrative and pharmacy leadership
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal leadership, external vendors, and peer 340B institutions

  • Experience aligning disparate policies and standardizing compliance and audit procedures across multiple major hospital branches (enterprise scale with 9+ distinct entities)
  • Experience at local/regional systems that have undergone major multi-hospital integrations is highly desirable

Benefits

  • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans

Important Notes

  • Candidates whose sole experience is managing a single clinic or a retail-focused 340B setup will not be a fit for this scale of operations
  • The candidate must have the flexibility to travel on-site on short notice for complex, multi-day government audits or when a specific branch hospital requires immediate, hands-on optimization
  • If relocating, the candidate must be able to move and start within 6 weeks of accepting an offer; highly preferred candidates will have established ties to the New England area
