Description

  • Own customer programs from opportunity capture and proposal development through engineering, manufacturing, and delivery
  • Lead early customer engagement to shape requirements, define scope, and develop winning technical and commercial solutions
  • Act as the integrator during proposals, aligning engineering approach, manufacturing strategy, schedule, and cost into executable plans
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, managing expectations, communication, and program performance
  • Own program execution metrics including schedule adherence, budget control, margin, and delivery commitments
  • Translate customer needs into clear technical, operational, and resource plans for internal teams
  • Provide direction and leadership to cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality
  • Identify technical, schedule, cost, and supply risks early and drive mitigation plans to closure
  • Monitor overall program health and escalate issues with clear data and recommended actions
  • Contribute to business development by identifying follow-on work and new customer opportunities

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
  • Proven experience managing customer-facing programs involving physical product development or manufacturing
  • Background in industries such as aerospace, defense, medical devices, industrial equipment, or similar regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting proposal development, capture activities, or solution shaping with customers
  • Strong ability to operate across technical, operational, and commercial disciplines simultaneously
  • Experience owning program financials, including budgets, margins, forecasts, and tradeoff decisions
  • Comfort leading through ambiguity in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Ability to make sound decisions balancing technical performance, cost, schedule, and risk
  • PMP or formal program management training is a plus
