Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead cross‑functional initiatives across plant operations, engineering, and supply chain. This role is responsible for driving production performance, overseeing key manufacturing programs, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within a fast‑paced industrial environment.


The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing, metals, steel, or other heavy industrial settings and is comfortable managing complex operational programs from planning through execution.

Compensation: $111,000-$135,000 + bonus


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
  • Manage program timelines, budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across production, supply chain, and operations.
  • Support capital projects, including equipment installation and process upgrades.
  • Partner with plant operations, engineering, and supply chain to optimize production flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Lead manufacturing programs from planning through execution, ensuring on‑time delivery and operational alignment.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Background in manufacturing, metals, steel, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering or operations‑related) but not required.
  • 5+ years in Program Management, Project Management, or Operations Management.
  • Experience with: Plant operations and production environments, Supply chain and production planning, Cross‑functional program leadership, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • PMP or similar certification.
  • Engineering or operations‑related degree.
  • Experience in steel, metals, or metal fabrication.
  • Experience leading plant‑level initiatives or capital projects.
