The Role 

The Program Manager III is responsible for leading complex, cross‑functional programs critical to Forged Fiber initiatives, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, and executive objectives. This role requires exceptional organizational discipline, advanced Microsoft productivity skills, and strong executive communication and presentation capabilities.

The ideal candidate is highly structured, detail‑oriented, and excels at turning complex data into clear reporting, dashboards, and leadership‑ready presentations.

The Main Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Management

  • Lead multiple concurrent programs with cross‑functional stakeholders (Engineering, Network, IT, Finance, HR, Field Operations).
  • Develop and maintain program plans, timelines, milestones, risk registers, and dependency tracking.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and gaps; drive mitigation strategies and escalation when needed.
  • Ensure alignment between operational execution and executive priorities.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Own program reporting cadence, including weekly, monthly, and executive readouts.
  • Produce concise, data‑driven status reports with clear milestones, risks, decisions needed, and progress metrics.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and trackers to support leadership visibility and decision‑making.
  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and audit‑readiness.

Executive Communication & Presentations

  • Develop executive‑level presentations for leadership forums, steering committees, and governance reviews.
  • Translate complex program data into clear narratives, visuals, and one‑slide summaries.
  • Prepare talking points, briefing documents, and leadership materials aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Confidently present program updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Organization & Process Excellence

  • Establish and enforce standardized processes for intake, prioritization, documentation, and change control.
  • Maintain organized repositories of program artifacts, decisions, and deliverables.
  • Drive continuous improvement in program management practices and reporting quality.
  • Coordinate across teams to ensure accountability and follow‑through.

Main Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management within a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, multi‑workstream initiatives.
  • Strong experience working with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required Technical & Functional Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Skills (Critical)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint – expert‑level: executive decks, structured storytelling, clear visuals
  • Microsoft Excel – advanced: tracking, reporting, formulas, pivot tables, data validation
  • Microsoft Word – structured documentation, executive summaries, formal readouts
  • Microsoft Outlook & Teams – coordination, communication, and meeting management
  • Experience leveraging SharePoint and OneDrive for structured document management

Program Management Skills

  • Strong planning, prioritization, and dependency management capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity while maintaining structure
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to see the broader program picture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting telecom, fiber, network, or infrastructure programs
  • Familiarity with governance, intake, or change management processes
  • Experience creating leadership content aligned to enterprise or ELT standards
  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred but not required)

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$87,000 - $142,000
