Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in building and qualifying New Product Introduction (NPI) process stages with engineering teams.
  • Experience working in hardware or contract manufacturing for supply chain operations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Operations or other relevant fields.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with hardware programs (e.g., PCBA) or networking products (e.g., NICs, switches, optics, racks).
  • Experience working on technical products.
  • Ability to lead operational and strategic initiatives.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp. You are well versed in the Contract Manufacturer (CM)/Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) manufacturing environments and will lead a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large, complex, cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters. Ensure successful production transitions meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e., material availability, cost/assembly/test/Bill of Material (BOM)/capacity readiness and transition plans).
  • Guide cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule or demand.
