This is a senior-level Program Management role supporting one of the most critical acquisition offices within the organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping guide major defense programs through the project lifecycle while ensuring strategic alignment and execution excellence.
This role is designed for experienced professionals who not only understand Programs as a whole but also the acquisition life-cycle.
Responsibilities
Lead project planning and execution across major defense programs
Advise senior leaders on acquisition strategy, risks, and program performance
Oversee program schedules, milestones, and lifecycle execution
Coordinate across program offices, external agencies, and oversight bodies
Ensure alignment with DoD 5000 series processes and regulatory requirements
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex programs
Support high-level briefings, decision forums, and stakeholder engagements
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in DoD program management
Deep expertise in DoD 5000 series processes
Extensive experience supporting ACAT I/II programs
DoD Contracting Professional Certification Level 3 (DAWIA)
Proven ability to advise and influence senior leadership
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to operate in high-pressure, high-visibility environments
Active Top Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in senior program leadership roles
Experience supporting agency-level or enterprise acquisition efforts
Background interfacing with Congressional or high-level oversight entities
Demonstrated ability to drive complex programs to successful outcomes
