EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS/BA degree in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience (4+ years). 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a leadership role on a Department of Defense program, either in an engineering or program management capacity.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Office environment. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones). Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

To ensure programs meet the customer's scope and schedule expectations, as well as company budgeted profit. This position will manage multiple programs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs final job review and resolves ongoing technical and contractual job requirements (schedule, technical requirements, and budget). Responsible for program budget, schedule, monitoring, and completion of goals and milestones in accordance with approved plans. Establishes Program organization structure and priorities (resource management, scheduling, staff). Coordinates internal functions to ensure all required tasks are being completed. Maintains ongoing communication with customers to accomplish program goals. Ability to investigate an issue, develop a solution, and communicate path forward clearly. Reviews and approves waiver deviations prior to submittal to customer. Reviews PDR/CDR presentations. Creates sub-contract work breakdown structure. Creates master milestone schedule. Communicates program status to the rest of the organization.
