Join our world class team! The Associate Laboratory Director of Facilities and Operations (ALDFO) is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Program Manager. Reporting to the Operations Support Integration Program Director in ALDFO, this position will provide leadership and overall management of the Laboratory Operations Supervisor Academy (LOSA) for LANL, as well as supporting other efforts such as LOSA GRAD, LOMA, LOLA, and ALDFO initiatives. This position will serve as the primary interface with internal/external customers to develop, negotiate, and define mission goals and programmatic deliverables, in accord with ALDFO capabilities, capacities, and priorities while balancing the best interests of the customer, the program portfolio, and the institution as a whole.
Through three assigned Facility Operations Directors (FODs) and nine divisions, along with operations support integration, ALDFO enables broad mission success through facility availability, engineering & technical programs, and support services. This position will partner with both internal and external customers to strengthen operations, improve safety culture, and increase operational formality by bringing the right expertise together to encourage organizational learning, better understanding the needs of stakeholders and customers, and enabling simultaneous excellence to better deliver on the national security mission.

Leadership:
Demonstrated experience providing leadership, vision, and strategic and tactical planning for execution of an assigned portfolio consisting of one or more complex programs/projects impacting multiple organizations, including formulating, planning and implementation of new program development initiatives in technical or operational disciplines and/or performance assurance. Demonstrated leadership characteristics: personal integrity and accountability, fiduciary responsibility, commitment to teamwork, excellence in programs and operations, commitment to workforce diversity, and organizational improvement. Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills to include the preparation of reports/presentations.
Problem Solving:
Demonstrated successful experience working with internal and/or external organizations to evaluate, develop, negotiate, and maintain partnerships and strategic relationships with customers. Without considerable direction, works to identify strategic shifts of relevance to the Institutional mission and seeks to position institutional resources for opportunities and actions needed to address future customer needs. Integrates complex program/project work with other Laboratory priorities and commitments, including safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, contractor assurance, and business imperatives.
Execution:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience to develop an execution/implementation plan that covers programmatic work from conception to completion. Exerts significant latitude in defining work breakdown structures to assign programmatic deliverables to programs and/or projects to accomplish work. Demonstrated ability to assign clear authority and accountability, and effectively implementing, directing, and managing change while maintaining efficient operations.
Influence:
Demonstrated experience in building collaborative relationships and effectively communicating across groups, divisions and directorates, and externally with other Laboratories. Demonstrated experience working closely with programs and line management to ensure performance including monitoring and tracking cost, schedule, and progress against milestones, while interfacing and negotiating with line managers and customers to accomplish programmatic work.
Education/Experience: Position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution and eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, an advanced degree may be expected.
Desired Qualifications:- Advanced knowledge of the Laboratory's organizational structure and programs, including the technical or operational discipline of the assigned portfolio(s), quality assurance, and performance assurance systems and their integration into a directorate management system.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with customers, stakeholders, regulators, and management regarding matters of significance to the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in effective decision-making and creative problem solving, including the identification of problem areas, investigating alternative solutions, and determining action to be performed that affect operations and mission execution.
- Exceptional ability to gain cooperation of others, conduct presentations of technical and/or function-specific information concerning specific projects or schedules, and preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.

Work Environment:
Work Location: The work location for this position is hybrid and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Hybrid is defined as working partially onsite/partially offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. All work locations are at the discretion of management and can change at any time with appropriate notice.
Position Commitment: Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2: Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Selected applicants will be subject to a background investigation conducted by or on behalf of the Federal Government, and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance. and obtaining such clearance requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon the position, additional authorization to access classified information may be required, which may or may not be available to dual citizens. Receipt of a Q clearance and additional access authorization ultimately is a decision of the Federal Government and not of Triad.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
