Belmont University invites applications for the inaugural Program Director for the Center for Digital Visualization, a new and innovative academic unit housing the Bachelor of Fine Arts BFA in Animation and Media Arts. The successful candidate will provide visionary leadership, oversee program development, and help shape the future of digital visualization education at Belmont.
The Program Director will hold a primary appointment in the Watkins College of Art and a secondary appointment in the Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business, reflecting the programs interdisciplinary focus and alignment with Belmonts creative and academic mission.
Responsibilities include:
• Leading the design, launch, and assessment of the BFA in Animation and Media Arts curriculum. • Managing program operations and budget in collaboration with the Budget Manager. • Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating adjunct faculty. • Advising and supporting students academically and professionally. • Overseeing course scheduling and curricular revisions. • Leading student recruitment initiatives and representing the program externally. • Ensuring compliance with university and accrediting body standards. • Teaching courses in the candidates area of expertise with an administrative course release.
